






Victoria Lewin
Producer/writer/interviewer/editor
Victoria's comfortable conversational interviewing style and professional sensitivity as a producer/writer/editor found eloquent expression in our new public TV program Great Grandfather's Drum, filmed in Hawai'i and Japan. For our public TV science documentary The World in a Box, Victoria traveled all over the world to film at the UN World Food Programme, FEMA, the World Wildlife Fund, the Library of Congress, and many other major organizations. Ms. Lewin began her career in New York City at CBS publishing, later she became a producer for Skyline Films in New York. A member of SAG/AFTRA, Victoria appeared in national commercials for Fab, Wheaties, Wonder Bread, Gallo Wine, McDonalds, Nationwide Insurance, Comet Cleanser, Tropicana Orange Juice and Ortho Pharmaceuticals. She produced a half-hour documentary on race relations in high schools for HUD. In Alaska she wrote, directed and hosted an award winning series of over 1,200 public radio interview programs celebrating the cultural diversity of Alaskans including Inupiat, Yup'ik, Athabascan, Tlingit, Haida, Aleut and non-native Alaskans, which aired on 22 stations throughout Alaska for 8 years, and on National Native News. She also created a short film about the Maui Matsuri Japanese summer festival, and produced 3 PSAs for the From Bento to Mixed Plate exhibit for the Japanese American National Museum. Victoria is co-founder and vice president of Opticus Media.

Predixion Software is a new company at the forefront of a revolution in cloud-based predictive analytics for business, science and government. We recently created this viral video to whet the appetites of industry influencers, a few weeks before the initial release of Predixion's first application. Cal Lewin
Director/writer/cameraman/editor
Co-founder and president of Opticus Media, Cal directs, shoots and edits all Opticus productions, most recently our public TV programs Great Grandfather's Drum and The World in a Box. Cal has written, directed and shot more than 300 TV commercials, more than 100 corporate marketing programs, and a variety of public television documentaries and commercial TV programs in the US, Europe and Japan. Mr. Lewin brings broad marketing experience as well, for Lockheed-Martin Cal provided marketing videos, national magazine ads, brochures, logos, and new product names for the introduction of a $450 million commercial satellite company. He wrote a complete marketing analysis for a new software product launch for Unisys Computers including marketing strategy and support materials. Mr. Lewin was previously a writer-producer at Orenstein Advertising in Los Angeles, specializing in national consumer electronics accounts. Cal taught courses in film making at the University of California Santa Cruz, guest lectured at the UCLA film department, and addressed the University Film Association annual meeting in Denver. He has been published in the American Society of Cinematographers Magazine.

"Great Grandfather's Drum" celebrates Japanese-American culture and history in Hawai'i, an inspiring century-long story of struggle and success in the American immigrant tradition, of plantation life, heroism during World War II, and helping to create statehood for Hawai'i. Told through an intimate and joyful portrait of Maui Taiko, a contemporary Japanese-American drum ensemble, whose ancestors emigrated to Hawai'i over a century ago as plantation labor. Filmed in Hawai'i and Japan. Currently on public TV, and shown on Hawaiian Airlines flights. 1-hour.
